First Swine Flu Case From Orlando, Really?
Swine flu Orlando. The Florida Hospital is denying the claim that tell about swine flu first case. It come from Adventist Health System which operates Florida Hospital, the case was diagnosed Tuesday morning.
"A case was diagnosed here in Orlando today on a tourist from Mexico who came to Disney attractions two days ago to visit," CMO Loran Hauck wrote in an email obtained by Eyewitness News
"We understand that sometime in the past 24 hours there was an email sent from a Florida Hospital person to another person trying to educate them about how not to get the flu," Dr. Scott Brady of Florida Hospital said during the press conference
"There have been some reports indicating that there was in fact a case of the flu somewhere in the Disney area, but that has not been confirmed at this time."
"There have been no confirmed cases of swine flu by the CDC in Central Florida," Brady responded to WFTV reporter.
"I have not talked to the chief medical officer about this," Brady said.
''Confirmation of positive tests of swine flu will come from Department of Health labs and the Centers for Disease Control,'' she said in a statement.
Brady said the hospital would have to wait 24 to 48 hours for confirmation from state officials. Brady said the infected patient was diagnosed with Influenza A, a category of the flu, which includes swine flu. But, this could be one of several other types of flu.
Orange County Health Department officials told the Orlando Sentinel that they are aware of at least one case being tested.
''We have released one suspect case that was sent to a state lab for testing and we're waiting to see what that is,'' Orange County Health Department spokesman Dain Weister told the newspaper. ``There may be more than one [case]. Any influenza-like cases are being sent and being looked at.''

A group that is formed to save the Miami Marine Stadium is very pleased that the National Trust for Historic Preservation names the Marine Stadium to its 2009 list of America's Most Endangered Historic Places. This move may help to preserve the stadium as some say that a place like Miami should have a venue like Marine Stadium and we should reclaim it.
The Preservation Planning Studio of the University of Miami will make a presentation on planning alternatives for the Marine Stadium Basin and Virginia Key. The event will be at the Miami Rowing Club, Friday, May 8, from 10:00 AM-12:00. The event is free and open to the public. Details included.
A new group called Friends of Miami Marine Stadium has recently formed to protect one of Florida's most threatened landmarks. The city of Miami is developing a Master Plan for Virginia Key. Friends of Miami Marine Stadium seeks to make sure this magnificent resource is preserved and a plan is created to maximize its public use. The group plans to lobby agressively for its restention and possible historic designation.
Beginning in the 1930s in Europe and Latin America, a series of sport facilities had been built in which the plastic aesthetic qualities of poured-in-place concrete were exploited for visual effect. Pier Luigi Nervi’s (1891-1979) Florence stadium (1929-32) and Palazzo dello Sport (1958-59) in Rome pioneered plastic concrete shell construction. In Nervi’s footsteps, Carlos Raúl Villanueva (University Stadium in Caracas, 1950-52), Oscar Niemeyer, and especially Felix Candela, the Spanish-born architect who immigrated to Mexico (1910-1997), made concrete a genuine expression of modern Latin American architecture, whose sensuality and plasticity contrasted with the rationalist canons of the international style.
The 6,566-seat grandstand of the Commodore Munroe Stadium, named for Coconut Grove pioneer and boating enthusiast Ralph Munroe, was completed in 1964. Poured entirely in concrete, with a hyperbolic paraboloid roof structure, it consists of a dramitcally cantilevered folded-plate roof supported by eigh big slanted columns anchored in the the ground through the grandstand.
The project for almost seven-thousand-seat grandstand was commissioned to Pancoast, Ferendino, Grafton, Skeels and Burnham. Albert Ferendino and Hilario Candela, a young Cuban architect educated at Georgia Tech, were put in charge of the project. Hurricane Andrew damaged the stadium in 1992. Engineering reports have since proven that the structure was sound, but need repairs, yet the structure has remained closed since then.

With the new Master Plan for Virginia Key, this magnificent architectural work sample of the Modern Movement an important piece of Miami Heritage and History is in danger to be demolished, despite few years ago the mayor from Miami promised to refurbish the structure.

Houston Flood Is Not Over Yet
The haviest rainfall since Tropical Storm Allison in 2001 caused flooding in many part of the Houston Are. The Flood cover flooding homes, roads and also school causing thousand of students can not go out to their school.
The rain and severe storms beginnig at late April 27 and isn't over yet. A flood watch is in effect until at least midnight, the National Weather Service said and northern Harris Country was under a flood warning until 1 p.m. after a fresh round of late-morning showers. A chance of rain remains in the forecast today and for the rest of the week.

Earlier thunderstorms dropped five to seven inches of rain over the northwest Houston area, and run-off produced the rise in water at Stuebner-Airline Road.
Rescuers with the Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department pulled dozens of residents out of their homes in the Bear Creek subdivision near Highway 6 and Clay Road. Assistant Chief Scott Mullins said 100 to 200 homes suffered some sort of water damage.
"We got reports of one family standing on a bed in a bedroom, that was the highest place in the house," said Mullins, adding there were no known injuries but some residents in wheelchairs needed to be carried from their homes.
Mullins said the next threat to people in the subdivision, besides a possible invasion of rodents and snakes looking for refuge from neighboring Addicks Reservoir, is if upstream areas of Montgomery and Waller counties get another dose of heavy rain anytime soon.
Katy ISD initially had called for a delay before canceling classes shortly before 8 a.m. North Forest made its announcement at 9 a.m. after some school buses already had picked up students.

Katy ISD Update Information About Swine Influenza
Katy ISD is monitoring swine influenza investigate development. As we know that the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and state and local public health officials are investigating swine influenza.
There is no immediate known threat in Katy ISD, the district had activated its incident management team and is working closely with state, Fort Bend and other country.
This team will give us accurate and currnet information to make decisions.
Katy ISD and Fort Bend ISD are monitoring the student illness and teachers are stressing the importance of good hygiene practices such as hand washing and covering coughs and sneezes.
The CDC recommends the following steps in order to slow down the spread of influenza:
* Students who are ill should stay home. Students have to be free of fever for at least 24 hours before they return to school.
* Avoid close contact
* Cover your cough or sneeze
* Wash your hands
* Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth
* Stay healthy, get rest, and drink plenty of water
Also, parent can help the district monitor this situation by keeping the school informed if your child misses school because of an illness. Thank you for helping prevent influenza spread.

Miss USA Controversy ? yes, it come out from a question from one if the judges, Perez Hilton, a famous celebrity blogger, who behind perezhilton.com. First runner-up Carrie Prejean, Miss California was asked about legalizing same-sex marriage.
Perez Hilton: “Vermont recently became the 4th state to legalize same-sex marriage. Do you think every state should follow suit. Why or why not?”
Carrie Prejean: “Well I think its great that Americans are able to choose one or the other. We live in a land where you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage. And you know what, in my country, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but that’s how I was raised and that’s how I think it should be between a man and a woman. Thank you very much.”
Hilton was visibly upset, and there was a mixed reaction from the live audience. Prejean ultimately came up short, losing the title to Miss North Carolina, Kristen Dalton.
Keith Lewis, The executive director for Miss California USA/Teen USA said on Monday he was saddened by Prejean's response.
I don't know, which one is right, the question or the answer. I think it is a -low quality- question on the Miss USA 2009 pageant.
Hope this Miss USA controversy will not be continued, for world peace and all American.

Boston Marathon 2009 Result
Boston Marathon 2009 is over. More than 26,000 runners (from all 50 states and 60 countries) was participated, cross the start line and pass boston marathon route.
Deriba Merga come to be the first winner for Man's Race. In WOmen's race, Salina Kosgei break the finish line in 2 hours 32 minutes and 16 second and to be first winner.
Here Merga (Ethiopia) overcame the disappointment of his Olympic fade. Merga, who was passed in the last quarter-mile and finished fourth in Beijing, pulled away before Heartbreak Hill and won in 2 hours, 8 minutes, 42 seconds — almost a full minute ahead of Kenya’s Daniel Rono and American Ryan Hall.
In Women's Race, Kosgei won a sprint with defending champion Dire Tune, trading the lead several times in the final blocks of Boylston Street before hitting the tape less than a stride ahead of the Ethiopian in 2:32:16. The third winner is American Kara Goucher.
The winners will take home $150,000, but Merga had to wait for his traditional laurel wreath: The women’s pace was so slow and the men finished so fast that he crossed the finish line before Kosgei had a chance to climb the champion’s podium.
Kosgei said the weather conditions made for a difficult finish.
“The wind was a bit stronger. ... So, it was very hard,” Kosgei said. “I decided I must try. So, I tried.”

Bank Stress Test Result
The Turner Radio Network has obtained "stress test" result of USA to 19 Banks.
It test were acted for knowing some more information about how well USA top 19 banks. Are they can withstand further or future economic hardship.
However, The Treasury Departement has not yet received the results or that test, spokesman Andrew Williams said on Monday, arter a blog said it has obtained the test results.
"There is no basis for that report, we do not even have results yet," Williams said.
Bank stocks, already lower after Bank of America Corp (BAC.N) reported its quarterly results, fell further. The Select Sector SPDR Financial ETF XLF.P was down 4.3 percent.
The site, here, is not related to Turner Broadcasting.
"It certainly did (move the market) for a while. It raised people's eyebrows. People had associated it with (Ted) Turner's broadcast network," said Lou Brien, market strategist with DRW Trading in Chicago.

3) If any two of the 16 insolvent banks go under, they will totally wipe out all remaining FDIC insurance funding.
4) Of the top 19 banks in the nation, the top five (5) largest banks are under capitalized so dangerously, there is serious doubt about their ability to continue as ongoing businesses.
5) Five large U.S. banks have credit exposure related to their derivatives trading that exceeds their capital, with four in particular - JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, HSBC Bank America and Citibank - taking especially large risks.
6) Bank of America`s total credit exposure to derivatives was 179 percent of its risk-based capital; Citibank`s was 278 percent; JPMorgan Chase`s, 382 percent; and HSBC America`s, 550 percent. It gets even worse: Goldman Sachs began reporting as a commercial bank, revealing an alarming total credit exposure of 1,056 percent, or more than ten times its capital!
7) Not only are there serious questions about whether or not JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs,Citibank, Wells Fargo, Sun Trust Bank, HSBC Bank USA, can continue in business, more than 1,800 regional and smaller institutions are at risk of failure despite government bailouts!
The debt crisis is much greater than the government has reported. The FDIC`s "Problem List" of troubled banks includes 252 institutions with assets of $159 billion. 1,816 banks and thrifts are at risk of failure, with total assets of $4.67 trillion, compared to 1,568 institutions, with $2.32 trillion in total assets in prior quarter.
Put bluntly, the entire US Banking System is in complete and total collapse.
