Norman Data Defense Systems, a leader in the field of data security, announced today that Norman Virus Control (NVC) has received yet another Virus Bulletin 100% Award, making its anti-virus products among the highest performing on the market. The June 2003 VB 100% Award has been given to NVC for its performance in aWindows XP Professional comparative review.

Norman has received 21 Virus Bulletin 100% Awards since 1998, a higher total than that of Symantec, Computer Associates, Sophos, Network Associates (McAfee), Kaspersky, F Secure, Panda, Trend and others.

In the next several weeks, Norman will be introducing a new AV technology which will offer a first-of-its-kind capability to catch and clean new, unknown viruses and worms before they infect computers and before pattern files have even been written. This new virus detection technology will be integrated in NVC 5.6.

Norman Virus Control has a consistent record of rating highly in product tests, including Checkmark Certification from West Coast Labs, on detecting and cleaning viruses and has won twenty-one 100% Virus Bulletin Awards since 1998. Norman’s virus scan engine has been licensed to a host of companies and institutions, including Sybari Software, and protects millions of workstations.

The Virus Bulletin 100% Award is given to products that detect all "in the wild" viruses during both on-demand and on-access scanning in certain Virus Bulletin tests. Virus Bulletin has tested the world’s leading anti-virus products since 1998. Tests are carried out every second month and are widely recognized within the industry. The comparatives tend to focus on virus detection rates, scanning speed and, more recently, performance overhead of on-access or resident scanning components.

Julie Chen Pregnant

Yeah she is

When you tune into Big Brother 11 tonight, you'll notice that host Julie Chen has put on some weight. No, she hasn't been living off of slop (the meal that in the past has been doled out to houseguests during the summer series). She's pregnant! Chen, who is also the wife of CBS President Les Moonves is expecting a bouncy baby boy.

Chen revealed the news to Craig Ferguson on 'The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson' while promoting the latest season of Big Brother 11, which premieres tonight. Fans of the hit summer reality show will get to see Chen grow bigger each week as she interviews departing houseguests when they are ousted one by one.

Chen and Moonves married in Deecember of 2004. Their baby will born in early October, just after 'Big Brother 11' winds up. She is also the co-host of 'The Early Show' on CBS.
